To be held on Thursday 18 June 2020 at 10.30 am
at Moray Fresh Start SCIO Store, Unit 10, Elgin Business Centre,
Maisondieu Road, Elgin, IV30 1QP

The Covid-19 pandemic has created exceptional circumstances for everyone and also impacts upon the governance of charities in Scotland. The Scottish Government has issued guidance about social distancing and OSCR (Scottish Charity Commissioners) and others have issued guidance specifically relating to the governance of charities. Taking these into account as well as the personal circumstances of the officers and committee of Moray Fresh Start, the committee have decided to hold the Annual General Meeting at the Moray Fresh Start store, but taking all appropriate precautions which will include social distancing. Attendance by people other than the committee is not practically possible.

This will be a very limited meeting which will nevertheless comply with the requirements of the law and the Constitution and will enable the necessary functions to be dealt with.

The committee wants to make sure that the same information is available as in normal times, and that questions are dealt with properly. Interested parties are invited to request copies of the Agenda, the examined accounts for the year ending 31 December 2019, as well as details of other business carried out at the AGM.

If you have questions which you would like to be addressed at the AGM, please email them to contact@morayfreshstart.org.uk by 10 June 2020 so that they can be included under AOCB and you will be sent an email reply.

Money for Moray

Amazing news!!

Yesterday, (18 March 2018), Moray Fresh Start were awarded £4000 from Money for Moray - Community Choices.

Grant Hall in Rothes was packed with folk who came to support the groups who had put in bids for their organisations.

There were some amazing presentations by people who were so committed to their causes and who explained how their organisations are helping to enhance the Health and Wellbeing of people in Moray.

The awards were decided by public vote, on the day, as part of a Participatory Budgeting process.
